She applies that rural work ethic to her clients&#146; cases in front of U.S. Citizenship &#38; Immigration Services, the immigration courts, and federal courts. She frequently visits clients in immigration custody and represents them in deportation proceedings, as well as the federal courts.</p> <p>Kim is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the National Immigration Project, as well as an active volunteer with The Advocates for Human Rights. She is a frequent presenter on immigration panels at continuing legal education seminars. She was the Advocates for Human Rights Volunteer of the Year in 2008. She has worked at Kim Hunter & Associates since October 2005.</p> <p>While in law school, Kara won the CALI award in Civil Procedure and was on the Dean s List. She also externed for Judge Lloyd Zimmerman and was a research assistant for Professor Eileen Scallen.
